This workshop will take place as follows:
Date: 21 April 2015
Time: 7.00 – 9.00 pm
Venue: Dublin West Education Centre
The FíS Film Project provides a practical guide to film appreciation and production for primary schools as well as an annual FíS Film Festival in the Helix awarding the best films produced by schools as part of the project.
The initiative encourages children to explore the medium of film in the primary classroom developing essential skills in moving-image literacy, communication, teamwork, visual arts and potentially all curricular areas … oh yes, and it’s also lots of fun!
Is editing proving troublesome? Then don’t worry! We will be holding a workshop here in the Dublin West Education Centre on the 21st of April from 7 – 9 pm specifically aimed towards the editing process. Bring your footage along on the evening for tips, tricks and advice on putting the whole lot together.
Interested in taking part in Fís but don’t know where to start? We hope to run a number of workshops next year which will guide teachers through each stage of the process. In the meantime why not visit www.fis.ie to see examples of films made by primary school all across the country and how easy it is!
