PDST presents two workshops on developing number sense with young pupils (Junior Infants – 2nd Class).
Once again, PDST is inviting students to Write a Poem under two categories: Junior Cycle and Senior Cycle. We hope that this popular competition will encourage young writers to compose poetry and assist teachers in supporting the writing of poetry.
Last year, the PDST offered full day seminars in Physical Literacy through Fundamental Movement Skills, focusing in particular on locomotor skills. The PDST are delighted to announce that the second phase of this professional development in Physical Literacy will be taking place from April to June 2018.
This seminar capitalises on the natural opportunities for integration between Measures in the primary maths curriculum and the wider STEM objectives.

Dr Gerry Shiel, ERC, will open the day with an intriguing key note speech on how teachers begin Building on evidence to develop integrated approaches to teaching STEM. Teachers will then choose 3 from a menu 6 action packed, exciting and innovative workshops.
