The Write-a-Book project has been a worthwhile and pleasant partnership venture between the Education Centre, schools and children for many years. We invite you to take part in the project in 2018.
The volume of books coming through Write-a-Book has increased considerably in the last few years and while we welcome this development and hope that such enthusiasm will continue, we need to continue with one restriction again this year. We hope that infant classes will continue to write books and we will supply schools with certificates so that they can hold internal award ceremonies but once again we are unable to accept entries from Junior or Senior Infant classes as we did previously – in effect the swapping stage and the external award ceremony stage are being removed in the case of these classes. We regret having to continue this restriction but it is inevitable in present circumstances.
