22AUT77 Developing Digital Media Literacy
This 4 session online course focuses on developing participants’ Digital Media Literacy and supporting them in their work with children. It will be divided into four interactive, 75 minute workshops (60 minutes plus Q&A). Participants will get the chance to comment, ask questions and work on group tasks set by the facilitator. Each workshop is  accompanied by a set of follow-on activities and resources that can be used to improve the digital media literacy skills of children. All participants are required to complete a qualitative feedback evaluation on the course.

23SPR01 Exploring Numicon in the Classroom The aim of Numicon is to make numbers real for children through them being able to see and touch them.
Teaching and learning with Numicon requires children to be active - to actively learn and to do the mathematics for themselves. Doing mathematics (i.e. thinking and communicating mathematically) with Numicon, explicitly involves illustrating in every activity through exploring relationships.
