STEM Eyes’ includes guiding teachers to focus on the skills associated with STEM and providing appropriate learning opportunities to use in the classroom in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. By using our ‘STEM Eyes’ we can reflect on everyday experiences of STEM in our environments, for example, in the school garden, in the playground, in the supermarket etc. Practical examples will be provided to enhance the hands on learning experience. The importance of ‘STEM Eyes’ in providing an inclusive and diverse approach to teaching will be highlighted as well as the integration of digital technologies in this area.
STEM Eyes on for Maths will reflect the aims of the new Primary Maths Curriculum and promote a positive attitude towards Maths. Ideas will be provided encouraging children to participate actively in the maths lesson.
