STEM Eyes’ includes guiding teachers to focus on the skills associated with STEM and providing appropriate learning opportunities to use in the classroom in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. By using our ‘STEM Eyes’ we can reflect on everyday experiences of STEM in our environments, for example, in the school garden, in the playground, in the supermarket etc. Practical examples will be provided to enhance the hands on learning experience. The importance of ‘STEM Eyes’ in providing an inclusive and diverse approach to teaching will be highlighted as well as the integration of digital technologies in this area.
STEM Eyes on for Science will reflect on the theme of 'regeneration' for Science week 2024. This webinar will explore ideas to protect nature, creating more sustainable approaches to materials and energy supply and to encourage children to take a more 'hand on' approach to STEM in the classroom.
