Meet the Scientist series

This free webinar series, developed in partnership between ESCI, NUIG, START and SFI, was designed to make science fun and accessible, introducing children to fascinating topics and inspiring career paths in science, technology, and healthcare. It is led by a passionate group of scientists who love what they do and want to share it with the world!

The webinars are completely free and designed for pupils in 4th, 5th, and 6th class in primary school. Each session features a professional scientist (who loves their work) and wants to share their personal journey—their background, hobbies, career path, and a fascinating scientific topic.

After the talk, pupils from across the country can engage in a live Q&A session, asking their own questions and making the experience even more interactive and fun.

This 2024-2025 series of 15 webinars will be held on Zoom, every Wednesday from 12 pm to 12.30 pm commencing on November 13th and running til March 2025.

Each webinar will be replayed on Fridays between 1.30pm and 2pm.
